About CSR Cold Pressed Oils

For us, oil is more than just a kitchen essential — it is a tradition built on care, patience, and trust. CSR Cold Pressed Oils carries forward the values of Chilakala Subbarao, who has spent over 25 years working with carefully selected raw materials and traditional oil-extraction methods. What began as a local business in 1980 has always been guided by one simple belief: if we wouldn't use it in our own home, we wouldn't sell it to yours.

We carefully select high-quality seeds and nuts and sun-dry them to reduce moisture before extraction. Our oils are produced using traditional wood-pressed and iron-pressed methods, without adding chemicals. After extraction, we allow the oil to naturally settle for 2–3 days, giving the heavier residue time to settle before the clear oil is separated. It is a slower process, but we believe good things are worth taking the time to do properly.

Our name, CSR, carries a family legacy. It represents Chilakala Subbarao, whose years of experience and commitment to honest work are at the heart of what we do. We want to bring that same personal care and transparency to every bottle that leaves our hands — from selecting the raw material to preparing your order. As we grow beyond our local community, our promise remains the same: quality first, honest practices, and no unnecessary shortcuts.
